Prosperity Initiative would like to introduce the Mekong Bamboo Business Database in English and Vietnamese. It contains contact and product information on nearly 300 leading businesses working with bamboo and bamboo products in Viet Nam.

The database was developed based on nine months of surveying businesses throughout the country. To access the database, go to www.mekongbamboo.org. More detailed information about these businesses will be available on our website, which will be launched in early 2009.

The database is an important part of our information sharing and networking efforts. It allows - for the first time - bamboo businesses throughout the country to build business linkages with each other online. A printed directory will also be available next month. The database also allows interested parties from outside Viet Nam, such as investors and buyers, an opportunity to see what types of businesses and products are available in the country.

We hope this directory can serve as a valuable resource for businesses and contribute to further development of the bamboo sector in Viet Nam.
